& Writers’ Club
As an independent author, collaboration is the best weapon in your arsenal.
Join us to hone your skills as a writer and meet other writers in the greater Los Angeles area.
You don’t have to go at it alone. We can grow and learn and succeed together. Bring your laptop, or simply a pen & paper. Just be ready to write.
Some topics that will be covered in our workshops:
Plot development
Creating conflict
Utilizing dialogue
Outlining a story
Where to find inspiration
How to go about publishing
The importance of copy editing and marketing
How to use social media to market yourself
The differences between conventional and independent publishing
The Writers’ Club aspect is to encourage collaboration among local writers. We will be sharing works, discussing ideas and participating in writing prompts and exercises to aid in the creative process and to assist each one of us in growing as an author. It is up to you as to whether these meetings are more workshop or more Writers’ Club. We aim at this being a collaborative experience. Who knows, maybe you’ll meet your next writing partner here!
Our first meeting will be held at the end of October
Each workshop & club runs 90 minutes. Refreshments will be provided
